From Cobbs Creek to Overbrook to Kingsessing we are proud to be West and Southwest Philadelphia.  We all can make a difference in the lives of teens.  I MATTER recognizes the work of community members that support the human potential of teens.


Youth in your community regardless of age, gender, race or sexual orientation. Youth and their goals for the future. Teen Pregnancy Prevention programs in your community.

Safe spaces for youth to talk openly. Accurate information on sexual reproductive health. Opportunities for activities, jobs, and life skills.

With youth in your community. With community-based organizations and youth-serving professionals. At events that support HIV, STD, and Pregnancy Prevention.

Safe and healthy relationships amongst adolescents. The use of condoms and birth control, including Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives.

An Askable Adult is able to have honest and respectful communication with youth about sexuality. They should support youth in making healthy decisions regarding their sexuality Give non-judgement information and advice and provide referrals to community resources. To become an Askable Adult, please contact I MATTER today.
